OASIS: Online Application for Signalized Intersection Simulation
OASIS simulates fixed-time and actuated traffic signal control with detectors, traffic animation, and controller-page editing.
Quick Start
- Choose Main Street, Drive Side, and Control Type.
- Click Run to start the controller, or Step +1s for slow inspection.
- Click detector rectangles on the canvas to place manual calls.
- Run Traffic when you want the animated traffic stream to actuate detectors automatically.
- Use Save State to preserve a scenario as JSON.
Example Uses
- Fixed-time baseline: set Control Type to Fixed Time and inspect the phase timing table.
- Actuated operation: enable traffic, vary demand by approach, and watch extension/presence changes.
- Controller editing: change an LCD page value and apply it back to the signal model.
Things To Notice
- The app models controller logic for teaching and inspection, not field deployment.
- SPaT/MAP export is for data-interchange demonstration.
